MINO has a new home!

Over the years, Mothers In Need of Others has flourished as a ministry of Project URGE, Inc., providing emergency support for babies, toddlers, mothers and families by partnering with churches and social service agencies.

In early 2024, with enormous pride and gratitude, we embraced the transition of the MINO ministry from Project URGE, Inc. into the care and leadership of Foodlink, Inc., an organization we’ve respected and supported for years.

Ministry Director Maria Wehrle has always been deeply passionate about supporting families and particularly mothers with young children in crisis, and we’re confident she’ll continue along that path under the umbrella of Foodlink. We believe the match is perfect in every way, and wish them both continued success as they serve families in crises throughout the region.

As always, we need our donors more than EVER as we assist agencies and churches in Monroe County. If you have material goods — baby items, personal and feminine hygiene, cleaning and paper products — we welcome them!

  • DROP OFF SUPPLIES directly to Mothers In need of Others at our Foodlink location: 2011 Mount Read Boulevard, Rochester. Drop-offs are by appointment only, so please call (585) 413-5071 (desk) or (585) 348-8596 (cell) to set up a time.

  • VISIT OUR AMAZON WISHLIST and purchase items to be delivered. You can find a current list of urgent needs there. 

  • MAKE A MONETARY CONTRIBUTION via check or PayPal.

    • MINO PayPal account

    • Check made out to “Foodlink, Inc.” with “MINO ministry” on the memo line. Please mail directly to Foodlink, Inc., 2011 Mount Read Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14615.
